Thanks sparticus, I'm working on it as we speak, got down the body now, should hopefully finish the body tonight before I go get some Z's. Then the legs all day tomorrow, wings Sunday, then painting om Monday or Tuesday. I think I may have mapped the nose ok without auto or camera mapping, just a few RELAX UV's both on uniform and world space, a few tweaks to some of the individual UV's. Will post some shots tomorrow maybe.

The scales I created by adding a red layer in photoshop, with a mosaic tiles filter, then messing with the hue/saturation, curves etc. Some of the highlights were abit too bright so I had to add another layer over the top with a blend mode of darken. Then added another layer on top that was a brighter red, and using the eraser tool and a stylus I started erasing some of the red to reveal the darkened scales underneath. Painted the horns and nails, the tongue and inner mouth.

Theres still alot of work to be done before I move onto the bump mapping, but I was hoping for some advice on the horns, the inner mouth and tongue, Im trying to find some reference material for these but am having trouble, the only thing I can think of for the horns is looking at elephants and rhinos, and I'm having trouble making the inner mouth and tongue look at least a little fleshy.

Regards
Wraithe

hehe, little devilish dragon. I like the reddish textures, needs more work but I can see your little dragon is taking shape really well. Keep it up!
