Bad news for me

i've seen the specialist about my wrist & the bad news is that it's now f*cked!

So it's over to my right hand for mousework, which is not the way i wanted to go about getting into Maya. Fortunately i can write with my right hand but the transition with the mouse isn't going so welluser added image

I'll see how it goes.

Hard to do things with the "wrong" hand user added image

I'm left-handed but have always moused with the right, play the guitar right-handed, drums, didn't have a chance with the piano user added image I swing a bat left-handed and cast a pole left-handed, best of both worls I guess.

You'll get used to it, gonna feel awkward as hell for a while, but eventually it will feel "normal" to you user added image Good luck!

...

There are a bunch of exercises that you should do, and the one thing to remember is NEVER STRETCH. When doing hand exercises go to the point where it's about to stretch then hold it an wait for the muscle to relax.

"Conquering Carpal Tunnel Syndrome" by -Butler is good.

Also as kevin suggested, get a tablet. I use a trackball mouse and it works great. It's less stress on the hand cause there is no wrist movement. Also make sure you are typing correctly and sitting up right.

lol, i thought Kev was talking about dope!!!

Thanks for the support guys. A tablet is on the agenda, as i never used one before anyway.
If that's no good, then a trackball may do it.

In the meantime i'm resting it.
