Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

I am totally stumped with chains.

I am just starting to learn how to model more complicated things and in doing this i thought i would try my hand at scenes, in this scene i will have a chained up coffin being suspended by more chains, that are wrapped around rocks, i found a concept art from a user on this site, i find it easiest to learn by trying to figure out how others achieved something, i will link their original art and my own, any help in achieving this chain wrapping result would be awesome, I am currently working in Maya 2016, any advice on whether this is a good idea would also be appreciated.

Here are the Images, Any help will be really appreciated
