Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Looking really good- hes a very healthy colour for a man without a head! But he fits well in the scene like that.

There's something about the rock which does not seem quite 3d to me- perhaps some drag from it behind it or earth bunching up in front of it to settle it in the scene a bit more? Or perhaps the rope casting a shadow on it.

Great stuff though the whole thing really comes together well!

I am kind of getting tired of this model, so I am gonna give it a little break and maybe start on something new.

I like it, kind of surreal. Could you tell me what kind of texture you gave to the hill to make it look like dead grass without having to paint in every single strand?

Thanks for all the encouraging comments..

Silviapalara : The grass is PaintFX and the texture on the sand/ground is just a shader with some bump and texture mapping.. all procedural.
