figured out what was wrong, Maya uses open GL, i didn't have the right drivers installed, i've tried a grid and then randomised seed, then i added a gravity field and reversed to -9.8 waited for the speres to rise and render. but i didn't like that, im just doing a quick render at the mo,
volume sphere? i can't seem to find that one yet, i'll have a rumage and post a render in a mo...
Just a bit of crit, I'd reduce the intensity of the fog a tad, maybe come in closer to the croc as theres a lot of space around it and maybe change the color of the particles to an algae color??
Well I went to the lab and had a fiddle, is this just for posing or are you gonna animate? See the attached image for your jaw setup.
I wouldn't use a cluster myself, I usually just use them for back controls on a character or deforming model before deleting history.
If you are gonna animate this I would stick some spline IK in the tail too.
yeah but your a font of knowledge, besides i'll buy you a pint on the 3rd Dec.. that rig looks remarkably... nothing like i had done!
I had lots of small joints at the tail end, (i dont know how to paint weights yet - & it led to less deformities)
And I wont be animating it because i dont have the time, when competition time ends i'll just post in in the downloads with everything else.
-(RC)- cheers mate, ya up for rigging my "bog-bowl droid" then he he
that animation you wanted should be ready about the same time as Jango's website dig dig
Hey pony,
thanks mate, but I shouldn't worry dude, im only going in as a noob, besides simplylightwave guys have some fantastic models going on, i really like the mechanical velocoraptor, chuffing ace.
i think out of all the entries you have the edge on origonality...
