This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

March/April - Noob - 4ng3l

And another 2 cool 2 b true challenge in which I want to participate (but prob. will not finish).

Ideas are on a crash dummy/test bot for furniture (modernising the IKEA testing division user added image).

Hope to post progress next week.
Let's see if I get past the placeholder thread this time user added image .

finally got around to doing something on this challenge. Made some simple concept drawings (and I ain't that good at drawing)

Basic thought is that the robot (which I named 'Rabbot', in a less sober moment) has pretty strong legs/feet to jump on stuff for testing and grip arms for testing doorknobs and such.

It's design is that it can be stored and look un-robot-like. So if it is in-active it is more of a decorative object.

Looks nice, I look forward to a first 3d preview. The inactive position looks a bit like a trash can, maybe he can be of use like that too user added image.

Here's the basic idea for the head, not much detail yet.
Not sure weather I really like it though (2 much R2D2).

I am surprised by the greatness of my noobism (is that a word?) btw.

Exams are over!!!
Haven't got a clue as to if I aced m or not user added image

Anywho... decided my design was to much like R2D2 so design went overboard.
New plan is to make a robo-bunny of some sort (still named Rabbot, same use)
Just think of a robo-version of disneys thumper thumping on furniture and stuff user added image

new concepts are due.
