What kind of company do you work for

I work at Graphic design company just outside of london, one would think that you would be able to be yourself in a company that deals with creative work, well not in the one I work at, I have just been given a letter saying that the following clothes should not be worn to the office:

Denim clothing
Combat trousers
Sports wear
T-shirts without a collar
Shirts bearing potentially offensive messages or logos
Trainers or sneakers
Clothing that is faded, frayed or torn

I might as well come to work in my boxers, because I wear, jeans, T-shirts without a collar, sneakers.

Well I was just wondering how many other companys have this sort dress code and whats your view on such codes.

I work at Gizmondo Studios Texas, a relatively small game developer.

We've got a pretty open dress code. I think they do require that I wear something though... user added image

I'm an animator at Amaze Entertainment, a game development studio in Kirkland, Washington. I switch back and forth between shorts and t-shirt, jeans and t-shirt, nice jeans and button-up shirt, and some variety of flip-flop or slipper. We don't really have any dress code that I know of. AFAIK, the only requirement is that you wear something. user added image
