This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Stag Beetle

hey this is a little side project i have at the mo, im working on it in my free time. It is a stag beetle, the modeling is not finished yet

bugs creep me the hell out and that one's doing a damned fine job of it... so i'd have to say it looks pretty good!

do you plan on animating it, or is it just for looking at?

Hey this will be mainly used for a still picture i have in mind, but might put it on my showreel with a bit of animation, will have to see how weel it turns out!

Yeah i will get a wire rendered out later 2nite, the legs are pretty simple actually, i think the shader i have used seems to make it look a little nicer than it actually is!
