Pixelsoul, it still comes with the Bonus Tols, and loads just as it does in 7 from the plug-in manager.

does maya 8 cme with pelt mappig tools equiv to or better than the ones max 8 had?


Now at SMU doing BSc 3D Computer Animation so its hard to get on here

Can't see it in the tools and the help does not mention it in Maya 8 (searched for word Pelt). I don't belive it does have it. But I did find this, if you didn't know about it.

I don't do any Pelting, so not sure. If they had a version for 8 I am sure the site would have mentioned it.

in the pics it looks like it unreavels the 3dmesh in 3d view as well asa the uv editor

Pelting tools was an addon supplied by a 3rd party and featured on the old community site by Alias. It was for Maya 7, but if you have a C++ compiler and the Pelting Tools source code you could recompile for Maya 8.
