Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Boolean Difference . . . another issue

Me again.

This time I'm trying to create a chain link fence. I want to have a uniform, vertical edge on the sides, so that I can peice them together with fence posts (not shown in the image provided).

Somehow I'm getting some wacky behavior from the Boolean Difference . . . it's not deleting everything it's touching, like it should. The fence is all one object. (I'm doing this with polygons and not NURBS, btw)

Have a look and let me know if any of you have run into anything like this? Any suggestions?

Booleans will not work for this. They are limited. I suppose you are wanting to make a flat edge to the end of the fence...

Than as Star said use the cut faces tool and then delete the unwanted geometry.
