simple mel script help

I'm working on a police siren and I want a point light to intensify and fade off without any key framing. Does anyone know what the mel script would be for the light intensity expression?

thanks,
Dan

if you wanted a script to do it then I would give a sine a go, that way you can use the output of the sine function (as it will be between 0 and 1) to drive the light intensity.
