Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

hey guys, just a quick question - does anyone know how you get fur to cast and receive shadows? My grass looks a little, ummm... bad without casting shadows on the ground.

ok, I have learnt how to get fur shadows on the ground now... I will post an updated image of my scenery tomorrow after a little more work.

Ok, here's the updated work on the scenery.

I still need to fiddle a bit more with the lighting and the grass. The texture on the ground is only temporary - it will improve (hopefully so will some others). I will also probably add some tree trunks, as well as a rock for the sword to lean/lie on. The blood on the blade is also still to come.
