sorry, but I won't be posting any more updates for about 2 or 3 days because I'll be a tad too buzy user added image .

Anyway, here's the most recent pic I've done. I just stuck in all the extra bits temporarily so i could get an idea of how it all looked together. Still needs some improvement though. You might not be able to see it properly because of the grass shadows... but now some of the blood has dribbled into the cracks in the ground user added image . Oh, I Also tried to make the blood on the blade look a little less like it had been made with MS Paint airbrush.

Ok, I will hopefully post my FINAL image tomorrow. At the moment I'm having a bit of trouble using all my textures (they're all heaps bigger than they really need to be user added image ) even though I've got 512mb of RAM.

I shall be entering as a newbie.

Alrighty then... here is my FINAL image! I might touch it up a bit more in the next day or two.

Entering as a newb

I had a MASSIVE amount of trouble with fur disappearing in the renders, crud happenning when saving/opening the scene files, odd lighting, and on top of all that... my main 18Gb hard disk ran out of room while doing a virtual memory operation user added image user added image user added image !!! Because of all this I couldn't manage to render out the scene how I wanted so I had to composite a few bits together in Paint Shop Pro. Also the fog, some shadows, and a bit of touching up were all done in PSP.

But enough with all that...

... here's the pic

This pic has a very good composition! It has such a depth to it, with "good" foreground and a "good" background.

Two thumbs up! user added image

If you still have time to ponder further, I'd make a tad sharper texturefile for the foreground (yep the ground), and weather the sword itself.

Excellent sword so far. Love the pommel (hilt end bitty). You might consider giving the point a little more point though.

undseth - I aggree about the ground, but the texture file size was kinda killing my system before, so I had to reduce and compress it. I really should learn how to use render layers (if that is the right thing to use)

I might render out a better version (if I have time) of the sword and slap it in the composite i made.
