Getting Rid Of Wire Artifact

Hello Guys-

Ok I created this shape and I hit the 1 and 2 key to smooth out the shape.
I notice that this wire is caged around the shape as well.

Is this normal. How to I get rid of it?

Thanksuser added image

Hi, 1 will put you into the un-smoothed view. 2 put you into a hybrid of smoothed and un-smoothed view. 3 puts you into smoothed view only. pixal.

keep in mind that the smoothing calculations are based on the non smoothed mesh, so being able to see both helps give you an idea why certain parts of your model was smoothed that way.

that's a "Ch" pronounced as a "K"
