Tel abt MAYA performance on a Mac

I have been using maya on windows since the time i started..actually started with windows vista n it gave me nightmares..thn i upgraded to windows 7 n it worked very nice..

Now i am making a big leap and switching to Mac Pro (as i work in sound also i hvto run apple only softwares)
I am very worried thinking how maya wil perform on a mac..what pros n cons wl b faced..
If anyone has got any experiance..pls share..

I've been running Maya on a Mac for over 6 years now, and have had no problems to speak of.

Any differences u noticed? Layout etc or functionslity eith mental ray or vray..anythng
