I create (e.g.) a cube(poly). I want it to be higher, instead of using the appropriate box in the cube's attributes I pull its top face up. When I then want to change its subdivision via attribute editor box it messes the cube up - why is that.
I learned that in such cases I should try the "delete history" - but that also gets rid of the box to edit the cube's properties like subdivs etc. Given that (an object with its history deleted) - is there a way to subdivide it via input of a number like in the attribute editor? I know of "insert edge loop - multiple edge loops", but that is not the same.
