Question about custom construction planes.
Hello, I'm a recently displaced Softimage user, and I'm trying to get better acquainted with Maya.
I'm wondering if there is a way to get Maya to use the coordinate system of a custom construction plane instead of the world coordinate system. I want to be able to type in specific coordinates based on the custom plane's coordinate system, but the absolute transform and object attributes only give me world coordinates when the custom plane is live.
Is there someway to get Maya to use a coordinate system based off of the custom plane?
