Beginner question

HI

i have one little question about polygon modeling, there are
how can i connect 2 different models together?
and when i am use extrude face on a model there are lines to see on the model is this normal or have i do what wrong.

Select them both, Polygons > Combine.

Not sure about your 2nd question. Can you post an image?

for the second question i've read that is an visual sign that i had use the extrude.
