Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

set initial state snow

hey guys,

im trying to make my particle emitter emitting sprite particles at the beginning of my animation already on the ground because i dont want them to slowly start falling from the sky. So i play several frames and select the particles and go solvers > initial state > set for selected and rewind my animation but wen they render in the hardware render buffer the particles still dont show until they fall from the sky.

is there something else i need to do to make set initial state work?

also how do u delete an initial state?

cheers for any help

J Frost

couldnt get initial state to work properly, i think its to do with some expressions because this is a mel particle script. But i changed the time slider to -150 instead

but now the snow particles keeps resetting once it hits frame 0 from -150

any help?
