Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Anyone have problems with the ATI Radeon 9200 Series? when i played Halo it would randomly crash and some games are laggy which shouldn't be happening. I updated the drivers too.

ok I built this about 6 months ago ..I am running a P4 2.8 GHz with HyperThreading on an Intel D865GBF mobo,
1024 DDR Ram and 160GB hard drive.
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra graphics card which is probably the weakest link..might upgrade this soon.
Hansol H530 [Monitor]
Creative Audigy 2 sound card
NEC DVD_RW ND-1300A
PLEXTOR CD-RW PX-W5224A
TEAC DV-516E [DVD-ROM drive]

Running Maya 5.01 and it's sweet except for the nvidia viewport problem but it's a minor annoyance.

I upgraded the vga to a Leadtek Nvida FX 5950 ultra and added some more Ram ..now got 1500mb DDR RAM user added image
nvidia have finally sorted the viewport issue...the system rocks now user added image

Hi,

I just got a new computer 2 days ago.

I don't know that much about pc, and I wanted somthing fast, well faster then my mac G4.

So I had a friend build me a pc, and I told him I wanted a fast one! Because it take waaay to long to render on my mac.

So as far as I can see looking through my computer and stuff, this is what I have.

AMD Athlon XP 2600+ Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional, Version: 5.0.2195 Service Pack 4 Build 2195
System Name: SoNATA1
System Manufacturer: NVIDIA
System Model: AWRADACPI
System Type: x86-based PC
Processor: x86 Family 6 Model 10 Stepping 0 AuthenticAMD ~ 16...
BIOS Version: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG
NVIDIA nForce K7N2G Series. I'm not sure about what this is, a graphic card maybe?
1,048,048 KB RAM. I guess that my membery?

I really don't know what the hell any of this stuff means! But I can tell you this, this pc is waaaaayyyy better then my mac! Rendering rocks!

Radeon 9200 series graphic card
1G of ram
ViewSonic G790 19" monitor

I give this computer a "10" compare to the mac G4, rendering is very fast!

It does it's job but it certainly lacks on the speed side but hey will be upgrading soon, then this will be used for rendering and a linux firewall.

Well I have finally upgraded to a certain degree that is...
I now have...
PIV-2.8 800FSB with HT
512 DDR 400 RAM
ASUS Muthabrd.

The rest of the other specs are the same. When i get a bit more cash i will continue to upgrade.

hmmm.

P4 3.0 (800fsb)
Asus P4P800 dlx mobo
160GB SATA
2 GB Corsair TwinX DDR 400
Asus 256MB nVidia fx5950

its not bad, but it has issues with z-buffer, which is REALLY annoying, because my older machine with a Geforce4 card doesnt have the problem user added image GRRRRRR

but for rendering, it screams... so word-up

lol
