Angry No Mental Ray

For some reason, I cannot choose mental ray in render globals any more. My only option are Maya Hardware, Maya Software and Maya Vector. The Mental Ray option also no longer appears under Hypershade/Create/Create_Maya_Node.

It is just not available. Is this something obvious that I am simply missing?

Thanks in advance

It may have turned itself off. Trying going to windows>setting/prefs>plugins

from there look for mayatomr and make sure its checked on both boxes. If it is than try deleting your prefs folder on the hardrive.

good luck

Thanks Brother, that worked!

Its a little unsettling that some of the software will just "Turn itself off"

Thanks again
