Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Having some problems with planar mapping.

Hi everyone,
I'm running into a problem texturing a tire I made. It was a curve that I revolved to a subdivision. I then converted it into a polygon. I try to do a planar map from the x axis, but after that it just goes into face mode and selects all the faces on the tire instead of showing a box around the object. Would anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Any help would be awesome.

I'm not quite clear on your question but maybe try checking the UV Texture editor.

Or maybe try restarting maya.


9 months into Maya...and still learning...
0 experience with any other 3D programs
