Hi all, this is my first Maya 8 interior scene. This was an assignment for a Maya course I am currently in......

hey gus - not bad mate! My main criticism would be that the colors on the wall and ceiling are a little muddy and samey. Also some of the pocket marks in your texture seem a touch big, but this is a good job for your first interior.
