This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

UV Head unwrap problem

Hey guys, so Im trying to unwrap this head and for some reason, when I make a cut along the back center seam, and click cut uvs then I try to unwrap it in UV editor, nothing happens... all I see is the head on planar projection without any unwrap at all.. heres a pic of all I see. It doesnt want to let me make a seam and unwrap it...

Have you got the pin borders ticked in the unwrap options..........dave

Have you made sure that nothing's holding it back from unwrapping? Does it go all the way down to the neck's seam? Try to detach the head from the body, and then try.
Imagination is more important than knowledge.
