This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Working all CPU's

How do I know if I am taking full avantage of my computer so it can run at its full potential.

Is there any adjustments to be made.... cant help thinking its holding back slighlty while working in maya or vue??

I have a xeon e1240, 8gb ram , 2 WD BC 750gb hardrives and a quadro 4000

If you're on Windows you can open the task manager and in the 'performance' tab you can see some info on the cpu and RAM usage, you can access even more info if you click the little "resource monitor' button.

Is there any adjustments that I can make...saying that it looks like it runny fine, but as I start to add more data to my pc, just want to know if there any options on how you could modify your ram usage or even how your cpus are used...as I read somewere that occasionally it will be pre set to utilise only one core .

What are you doing? Some things in Maya can't use multiple cores.
