About This Course

Robot volume one - Modeling with animation in mind

In this tutorial we create a robot in Maya. He has both organic components and hard surface elements in his design. This will allow us to show different modeling principles. We also take rigging and animation into consideration during the modeling process. Often in modeling tutorials you're left with something that looks good, but is then difficult to take forward into the animation process. We worked hard to avoid this. At the end of this project you'll have the skills to create your own characters of similar style in Maya.
