spline ik...help needed

I've created a spline ik on a spine of a character.
When I grab the curve associated with it and move it,
it doesn't effect the bones at all. Creating a cluster
with it's cv's, and weighting them was all a waste
without that connection...what am I doing wrong??

hmmm...select the root joint and the last joint wich will define spline IK system.
Then select the curve in outliner and go to component mode(F8).
Select any CV and move it around it should affect joints rotation!

Clusters are not crutial for spline IK, they are here only to easier select CVs without going to component mode.

I would suggest you to open HyperShade or Hypergraf window and studie node structure of every IK system!

I just wanted to say thank you.
Your comment about joint rotates made me
double check those. Two of my joints X,Y rotations
were locked and prevented the spline IK from working
thanks again
