Isoparm display problem?

Hi there, I am currently doing a digital tutors tutorial and I keep getting stuck because my display settings seem different.

I am using maya 2008 and I think the digital tutors video is using an older version.

I am using a subdiv object and it is on level 0

Here is a screengrab of my window

and here is a screengrab of the digital tutors video

This is making the tutorial so hard because He will adjust 1 or 2 vertices to move something into shape and I have to adjust about 10 vertices and often end up with bumps in my geometry.

Any help would be really appreciated, I hope there is a way to fix this.

Cheers

James

I think if you go between 1 and 3 on your keybouard you can change the smooth level on your subD geometry so that it will look like the one in the DT video.
