rendering a nurbs plane with maya vector

hi there. im trying to render a nurbs plane (animated text) with maya vector, but the tessellation adjustments only seem to be reflected in maya software renderer, in maya vector no matter how high i set the tessellation values, the curves on the text appear as straight lines, why? how do i make it right? its something to be posted on a website, so i need this to be light and suitable for flash, heeeelp!

hi there, have no exp with vector renderer but could it be a matter of global render settings and not tessellation issue?

hi! well, i've figured it out. someone told me that this is a common issue with maya vector, apparently it doesn't recognize tessellation values and goes just with the defaults values in u and v per nurbs surface, so i rebuilt all my surfaces, my scene got heavy in display but it rendered just fine. thanks!
