been workin on his tail, I'm not looking forward to painting the legs though, I'm not at all sure how to get rid of the seam while not painting a big black line to get it to blend

That outdoor campus looks familiar. You wouldnt be from the San Francisco Bay Area are you?

As for the video interlacing. I'm too noob for Maya to say with authority, but Lightwave (am i allowed to talk about that here?) has a toggle called "Field Rendering" which simulates the mixing of frames like your camera does. Try looking for that.

it's actually Santa Barbara High. I'm currently working on a displacement map for those ridges on top of the feet, but I haven't gotten anything yet that I feel is worthy of posting, but when I do, it'll be up here

here's my first test with ridges on the feet, it's a displacement map, and I hope to be done with them soon, they're a bit of a pain. I'm also looking into muscle simulation, but I'm not sure if my computer can handle that much...

Pilot this project seems to going from strength to strength - nice job!

I couldn't download some of your clips cos it said they are no longer available so I haven't seen your latest walk cycle. The first one I saw does not convey the weight of the beast at all. Even if this is only a small rex he needs to lean/rock from side to side as he places his feet, at the moment he looks as though he is floating.

As far as the get up action is concerned I don't think he needs to wobble too much, but I think as he lifts his head he should stamp on of his feet forward to prevent his from falling forward which would marry up nicely with his stamp backwards.

I have attached a little flick I found on the net for your perusal - hope this helps. Looking forward to your next post user added image

thanks for all the replies, I've been stuck on the seems a while and I've also been working on another character for my character animation class, so I decided to try and make the muscles under the skin and all that, like in JP3, I just finished making the muscles (see attached picture) but I'm not entirely sure how to make them work like in JP3, what with the soft bodies and all, any help in this regard would be much appreciated

yes it's been a while, but now I'm confronted by a problem, I don't know how to get rid of these seams!, if anyone has any suggestions, please, don't hesitate to tell me. I'm also putting the muscles to the side for a while, I believe it looks fine as it is, but maybe I'll work on it for the sequel user added image
