Baking Character Animation

Ummm, the question's pretty much wrapped up in the subject. How do I go about baking a character animation?

A bit more complexity. I'm trying to output to Maya2Spr for a Crystal Space application for a school project. It needs the animation to be baked in order to import correctly.

Thank you for your time. ^__^
