Need a new PC

Hiya,
I have been away awhile but hopefully when I get my new PC I wil be visiting regularly again.

Ok It's like this, I have finally got some money for a new PC user added image
Now I really do like the idea of going 64bit - so that's sorted - But as I'm into Gaming and 3D ... - I am wondering what is the best VGA card out there for me in my price range ... Price .. well around the £300 - £400 mark.

Thanks Scraggy user added image

U might want to check out Tomshardware.com for benchmarks and see what they say as well.

I've always used ATI cards. They're good, cheap, and have never given me a problem.

Thanks Guy's,
It's been hard but I finally sorted a system, I just hope this 64/32 bit job can keep me going long enough to save for the next one.
I was really pulling my hair out (not got a lot to start with) trying to decide between the Top end 32 Bit and the (Mid/Top 64 Bit range) I went for the 64 bit

I hope this is going to be OK -

ASUS K8V Deluxe
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
1024Mb PC3200 DDR (400MHz) Crucial
256MB nVIDIA GeForce FX 5950 Ultra - TV Out + DVI
160GB Serial ATA (150Mb/s) Ultra Fast Hard Drive

Please let me know if anything is wrong - I'm ordering soon...
Ohh yeah and I got a DVD writer in there aswell..

Regards Scraggy

SATA drives are great... I have two in a raid-0 config and it's blindingly fast!

After a bit of reading - I decided to ditch the 5950 and go for a GeForce FX 5900 as the price difference is not reflected in the speed/quality as far as I can see.
Maybe I can get a 'proper' 3D card sometime in the future..?
With the money saved I got an Audigy 2 soundcard and some 5.1 speakers... 3 Weeks wait now... user added image
