Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Hey, mtmckinley,

Does it help our "score" if we get it in under 3500 tris, or is that just a target for the sadists among us?

Can we use procedural texturing or some single-colored shaders?

Well, since it's game art, it has to be polys...

Hiraghm - For those who wish to challenge themselves. user added image Or sadists, if you want to call them that. user added image

Jack Of Spades - Sorry, no procedurals or single color materials. Textures have to be files. Now if you want your file to be a single color, that's up to you. If doing so, I'd recomend keeping it very small... like 16x16 if that.

Final output has to be polygons. You can have sprite particles, as well, but nothing else.

Should the model be triangulated?

the model doesn't have to be triangulated, but when counting your polys, tris are what count.

just thought of a new question: if the winner does not wish to receive a copy of your book, does the runner up and so-on if wanted or not?
