Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

whats best for texturing

i want to know what way is best for texturing models.
Do u just stick with Maya or 3ds max or can u use photoshop, what do u receomend?

maya's 3d paint is not good enough to make good textures, as a matter fact i would never use it to texture.
but if you have not yet textured anything, photoshop or gimp or paint .NET [ https://www.eecs.wsu.edu/paint.net/ ] is a good way to start. knowing how to properly lay out UVs for poly meshes is also a plus.
