Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

F4U Corsair WIP

This is my first post and my first attempt at modeling anything complex. This Corsair is modeled in MAYA and is about %65 complete. I still have a lot of work and then I have the task of texturing. Anyway, I just wanted to post this, I know it has many flaws, but remember, this is my first attempt at a complex model. When this is complete, I think I will model a P51 Mustang next. Hopefully by then my skill's will have improved.

I will continue to post the progress of this, I have some neat plans once this is totally finished.

Thanks !!!

I'd say thats a pretty good effort for a complex model. Look forward to seeing your mustang once its done if you end up giving it a go. I'm currently doing the same thing you are doing...trying some more complex modelling. At the moment i'm modeling a porsche from a tutorial i've got. Soon as i've done that....i'll be modeling my favourite sports machine and will hopefully get around to posting it up in the forums very soon user added image
