Exporting Maya

First thank you for taking the time to help.

I need to know how to export a 3D model out of maya and into anything else(i.e. website or to send to someone who doesn't have 3D software)

Also what formats are supported for export.

From the top of my head maya supports DXF, W3D. Not that many formats are supported out of the box, you'll need external plug-ins for X, DTS etc. You can also render to SWF using the vector renderer.

Do you want the possibility to rotate and view the model in a web browser or just display the model?
