In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Hey Kiveun - really like your animation so far - good expression of despair on his face.

nice climb cycle kiveun user added image

The arms and legs are looking cool so far. I think you just need to work on the body itself. The shoulders would rotate towards the arms as they move upwards. Also the hips would twist a little as each leg moves upwards.
But then again robots move a bit different to humans user added image

hehe, as already mentioned his facial expression is cool - a real agony thing user added image

try reaching up and stretching for something kiveun to see how your shoulder responds. At the minute his shoulder is moving upwards before the arm moves which doesnt seem quite right. I think it should follow the arm/elbow movement upwards.

yeah I agree with the comments made. Also if you watch his pelvis, it doesn't move at all. In a climb, there'd be some up and down movement as he lifts his legs and so on.

Keep it up!

Thank you all for your help. I really appreciate that.
I read all your comments and everyone aimed my mistakes. I'll try to correct them today.
I find a good reference on the web this morning. Hope this will help me to create a better motion.
Click here to watch Reference Ladder
t1ck135 => You're right. His shoulders go up before his hand. I'll take a look.
MattTheMan => Yep, especially on the level of the legs but also a little on the level of the hands.
13th_resident => He's still climbing user added image He'll never stop.
pbman => Thanx mate
mtmckinley => I totally agree for the pelvis up and down motion. I think this is the part of his body I missed to make him like that he is pushing on his legs

Thats a good reference video kiveun, it should help lots.

I've been studying how people walk all week while going to and from work - its fascinating stuff how completely similar yet different people can move.

looking forward to your next vid user added image

i could maybe help with the hand problem (me lurves to rig)

if the arm is IK (im hoping it is) create an empty group, move the group pivot the the wrist, then PARENT CONSTRAIN the IK handle to that group

this way when you move the body, the hands should not move, if they still move then you have to:

add a second IK stretching from his wrist (end of other IK) to the knuckle of the index finger, and create a group for it as well, wich would be parented under the other group so that it follows

Pretzels and Beer
Pizza Pockets and Computer programers
Shortcuts and 3D artists

May we always be together.

Hi all !
I had a big week end because monday was a public holiday ( <== Altavista translation, I'm not sure.) and I don't have internet at my little house.
Here is my last result :
Ladder Test 3
I'm not pretty happy with that.
Need a lot of critics to improve it. user added image

13uRneR => Thanks mate. I will take a look. I'm not sure if it's Fk or Ik. I will see. I just take a free rig, I know nothing about rigging ... user added image

t1ck135 => Study movements is the key. user added image

Ok, I take a look on the web and I find a solution about my hands problem.:attn:
In fact we can switch between Ik/Fk with this rig.
I tried to modify this because the initial number was 0.
I switched to 1 but did nothing.
In fact, the number I had to put was 10 and a new controller appear.
This hands :
