long time since i posted here ...

still looking good man, great idea in adding the electrical poles etc user added image

the only crit from me is still the background, i think it dosnt look as good because if you really think about it, the building would be a hell of a lot bigger if they are that close to the house. for example if you look at it, it kind of looks like 4-5 levels of the buildings is equal to a double story house? thats not right ...

maybe try to push them a bit back from your scene and scale them down.

Hi, first of all I think there's a great atmosphere in the scene. It's very real. But it still has a lot of potential. Keep up the good work with the modelling now with the textures. Look for good photo references in internet.
I would make the brick texture in the house darker, and less uniform. Try mapping some fractal texture in colour balance, in the gain channel. I would concentrate on the main scene for now.

The "fire hydrant" looks good. My only crit is that the shadows from the rear buildings make them look too close together. Als, the speakers would look better if you modeled them.

The lighting looks much better.

My only crit is that the sky doesn’t look like it goes with the scene.

Good work. In regards to your sky. It sounds like it is a Fluid container. This may be overkill. You can save a lot of render time by getting a nice hi-res texture.

Keep up the great work!

You could also use the particle tool to create the sky and i would still just delete the backgroundimage and just google for a nice city/urban picture or use the first one you used and scale it up a bit like i mentioned before, because your current background doesn't go with your image.
