lost my x-y-z reference thing in maya 2008

The thing thats in the top right corner that you can click on to change the orthographic view to top view or side view or front view... its not appearing when i make a new file, where is the setting?

Look under your preferences for the ViewCube.

Go up to window at the top and hold your mouse over Settings/Preferences then click on Preferences .In the new Preferences window select Display and finally under the field that says View check on View Axis and hit save.

that only enables the axis at the bottom left of the screen, not the clickable one at the top right



ah..... just found it, its under preferences, interface, view cube....thx for pointing me in the right direction
