Connection Editor question....

I'm trying to connect the facingRatio of a samplerInfo node to the firstTerm of a condition node. How do I do this? The samplerInfo node isn't expandin in the connection editor , MM dragging isn't doind it. I keep finding parameters I want to connect that won't do it in the connection editor. What am I doing wrong here? Any help would be seriously appreciated.

I'm not sure what exactly is the problem but make sure you're showing the nodes you need and keep an eye out for the little (+) on them, sometimes you need to get in there and connect xyx, rgb, uv manually.
