This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Select vertice/edge

Hello!
I'm new to Maya so have a question . When selecting edge or vertex all adjacent vertices/edges turn to yellow or red . Please tell how to return to "normal" view?

Press the b-key. You have soft select turned on.

When you have a chance take a look through this thread it has some very helpful tips ... https://simplymaya.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15467

BTW there should be a 1 point award to the first person that answers this question and there should be a score board to keep track of how many times it gets asked and we can keep track of who has answered it the most and award a booby prize at the end of the year. user added image
