A recommended software utility

Guys

I suppose most of you curse everytime you have to browse for a deep folder for example to open/save a MEL script from/to the MEL scripts folder which is way deep somewhere in your documents folder.

There are some 3 proggies to handle this - all at the same price (20 U$) but the most efficient and the most feature packed one is File-EX. (others are Direct Folders and FileBox Extender)

It works wonderfully inside Maya

I just ordered it online ,

I Hope this info is of use for you.

I swear it is awesome

You know that crappy "Save Attachment AS" dialog in OutLook Express ?- you can replace it with their file saveas dialog !

One of the greatest features it has is that forces the dialogs to open in a certain sorting method,(you decide which), something that should be working in Windows and never had.

I was here all the time working at home (after coming from the office) so I had very little time to participate ,

and off course - learning Maya every spare minute I got.

BTW - Tell me , This is haunting me, How did you start learning Maya ? Did you use Power Animator previously ? or did you happen to study CG and had Maya at school ?
