This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
Don't be so scared about the hands. How are you going to go about it? Are you gonna start out nurbs and convert to polys to attach or just do it all in poolys like you have been? Can't wait to see the results
ooo it's been a while since i read this thread hehe. the body is coming along nicely so far. the breats do seem a little low but the shape is nice as with her overall torso.
as for your request....
this is a male, and it's low polygon, but it's organic none-the-less.
i have more work but i have to dig it up and this is one of my more recent models =)
Nice low poly stuff, do work in the game industry? Here is picture displaying my chic with her hands (which are not attached yet).
I will do another post tonight, after I watch Chicago (for the first time)
hey wanna 3d those hands look like you managed to capture "the femenine essence" of them, i like them, can we see a wire and a subd converted pics of them?
OK, sorry for the delay on updates (I was getting behind in my C++). Here is the hand with some wires displayed. I need to work on the finger nails (I really have none right now)
quick comment, her head shape is still too rectilinear at the moment, her jaw is strange as is. It needs a bit of tweaking, the angle of her lips/jaw in relationship to the rest of the face is odd. Either the jaw moves back or the forehead should come forward. Body wise, I' d say raise the hip area a bit (not the butt) - you see what I mean most evidently in front view. The body is very good though.
last thing. Definitely boof up her hair to make it a bit sexier (maybe a ponytail)
could you take a proper render of her body from a few angles? I really wanna see how it looks when rendered. Also, her arse... The bottom of it looks a bit squared.
Looking good man, i think it needs a bit more work on the hands and face though. the thumb seems to be turned outwards too much, when thumbs (if you stick your fingers out) are only turned a little bit outwards, but its good man good work!
