polygon SMOOTH command

while modelling in ploygon mode i often check how it will look when smothed (not sub-d) and then just undo get back back to my modelling mode. But unfortunatly I accidentally saved it as a smoothed mesh. How do i get it back to its basic poly mode? Is it posible to use my construction history as I have history on. Please help as I dont want to have to start my model from scratch.

Thanks.

If you still have construction history on the mesh you should be able to find the polysmoothface in the channel box. If you still have that option , open the polysmoothface and find the division setting and put it back too 0 instead of 1.
