Yup, very Blit Wizbok-ish.

Things like that you have to take care in doing. While your intention was not to duplicate Blit or give him similarities, Blit is such a popular character that your model will only be looked at as similar or even copied. If you showed this to a studio exec who knows Blit Wizbok, it would look very bad for you to claim it as an original idea.

I don't think he looks at all like the alien song guy with the exception of the one eye. I set out to create a simple char to animate. The head shape is different and the body has no similarities to his model.

Obviously it looks similar enough to warrant two replies about it. The similarity lies in the head and facial features. While it's not exactly the same, they both are cylindrical, which is a similiarity. I would maybe make it a bit rounder to kill the similarity issue. If it's not a major convern, then do what you can to kill the similarities, otherwise it may come back and bite you later.

been a while, here are some simple poses. Skinning still needs to be completed. The boots and laces still need some texturing.

I still disagree, the only similarity is that my head and his head started out like a cylinder. Mine has a point, he has a little attena on his head. The shape is different, and as far as the mouth you have got to be kididng as far as the facial features go. Am I the only one who sees this??

Hi Kassun, I agree with you. I didn't think Blit when I compared per Mike's suggestion. Actually the first thing I thought was the skinny guy from Lelo and Stitch. (Agent Pleakly?) I think some good points are raised, though. All characters are subject to perpetual comparison. Go with your gut...
