Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

anotomically, its questionable. It's assumed your trying to achieve that, yes? Its looking better, but it seems you tweak something and something else moves out; which if it was drawing would mean you are moving something too much and it should be just a tiny movement of line or shade (usually) that sort of puts things right..? Your changes are too drastic maybe, go back to how you feel most comfortable and make minute changes at a time but know when to stop. but anyway,go with the most experianced, not me, of course you have seen some of the WIP lately, your in luck at the moment mate.

keep fighting on

I'm also as curious see your image planes

Questionable is an understatement.

I'm really not so sure about your 'references'. After looking at the orthos, theres something not sitting right with it all. Proportions are way out.

Ive done some smudge work to alot of the head, Dont use these as references as they are for the benefit of what I feel is in need of sorting and they wont match in any way or form. I feel theres just to much haste on this whole project without stopping to understand any anatomy whatsoever.

Put your orthos against the tweaked ones Ive done here Look at proportions etc. Then find images on the web, there is loads!! However ugly or good looking we all are, all the same rules apply as far as anatomy goes.

You have chosen a subject which will get you in trouble if something isnt right...

Jay: I can now se very clearly what i have to fix.
This is gonna keep me going for a while. What would be the best way of doing this? Should i just pull and push veticies or is there any other way of doing it?

Mirek: Here are the references. I have modified them so they are on there own seperate docs and i have fixed the front up by mirroring it.
The thing that is confusing me is that the wire fits them almost exactly, so i don't really know what i am doing wrong.

Sup,
I have tried to make the ajustments that jay said while sticking to the references. I used a lattice to get it in the right proportions and then tweaked the verticies from there.
I still have a bit to go but i wanted to know if i was getting there.

More pics in a sec

your not going to get better advice than Jays. I agree with him your references, they are worse than your work which is a compliment to you. They are out of proportion without doubt and it rakes two seconds to see it.

Jay might have a take on this, try something else for a few days and come back to the ears with fresh eyes, but DO come back. Search the nest for images, check out the nose and other features for a while, post em here, that is my opinion bur as I said, if Jay disagrees go with his advice your not going to get much better.

your images are puttng you off not your skills.

i'll go back and have another look. back in a sec...

Yeah, I might try somthing else out for a while. I got photoshop the other day and i have been wanting to test it out. I'll also look around for some more reference pics. I dont understand how the photos can be out of proportion though user added image
