Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

In most games, the only kind of animation that works is that which is animated with bones, so dynamic simulations wouldn't work in a game's export process.

Capes and such like that are usually done using a bone chain or sequence. The cape you have there, while it would work, I'd recomend simplifying the geometry considerably.

just a little thing the arrows in the quiver are the wrong way, you dont want your hero grabing the arrow head cutting himself.

I suppose, but animation isn't a requirement for this challenge.

MIke, do you think that this hoody is better than the one in the recent picture i posted before in this thread.
you recommended that I should simplify the mesh considerably.
is this considerable enough?

yes.....well i am sort of in the process of doing so but to be honest i am not much of a good texturing person.
the UV's came out fine but i think i need more experience in PHOTOSHOP 7.0 .......

here is a render of what i got so far with the texturing.
be honest.....user added image does it look as bad ass i think it isuser added image ??????
I know there is a little or alot of interpenetration around the model.....I know alittle tweaking will fix that....

to be honest it reminds me of my first game model which I did pretty much one year ago, the textures do need to be defined some more ie: folds, muscle etc, but that comes with time and to answer your question
No, it does not look as bad as you think, it looks pretty good, just a little bit more tweaking and it will look even better.

here is a tip: for folds I use the burn and dodge tool, I also use them for defining muscles.

good luck
