Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Mmoore

Dude I finally made your thread. With regards to your hands and feet (as you asked) the geo is pretty clean, although I'd move the start of the thumb down toward the palm more instead of having it extrude from the side (check your own) All you need to do is round it all out it looks fine....

Cheers
Jay

did you mean the sculp polygon tool?

if so is kurt pulling the faces out or pushing them in? if he's not then he has his setting on "smooth". which basically evens out the faces.

i dont have maya open, but the settings for the tool are in the tool settings on the right hand side of maya. if you dont know how to find the settings double click on the sculp polygon tool icon on the left (its under the move and rotate, but of course you know that), if you have the tool selected (or press y). the settings open and look around. you should see it. its not hidden away. it should be in line with the pull, push ones.
one other way is just go to the options box. you'll find it in there aswell. if my brain can recall correctly.
