Oh btw...im using mental ray to render ...does anyone know what i can tweak in the settings to make it a lil crisper?...i got it set on production quality but looks a lil washed out to me.

Thats great stuff.. really don't see much for you to tweek. I really like the poster on the back wall and the simply maya grafitee.

Its under the final Gather settings on the render options.
Its Sampling Quality. ajust your min and max samples. it will probly be set to like -2,0 you might change it to like 0,2. You can also play around with the filter used.. The Mitchell and Lanczos are 2 of the sharper ones with Lanczos being the crispest. IMHO the Mitchell is the way to go.

Thx for that pony...have adjusted the settings a lil...thankyou Sil for the kind remarks.
This is my final render for the comp...only glad i managed to finish in time and thanks for the help everyone.

Chipper awesome work dood.. It's been great watching your progress throughout the model. I'm also pretty new to maya myself. I just finished up a semester of lightwave, and i'm glad i am finally moving on to greater things. Hope to learn a ton with all of ya!
