Default import alias wire file

hi, all
i'm having trouble importing an alias studio wire file into maya 4.0 - i get the message 'error reading fille'

can anyone help me with this

I had the same problem in Maya 4.5. In that version a plugin that handled that is included. It can be turned on in the plug-in manager, that is located in the window->settings/preferences menu. The plug-in in 4.5 is called studioImport.mll. Check if you have that plugin.

tony: are u using the alias to maya plugins in the software update section on the A|W site, i've used those in the past with no problems at all
